Watch Our Newest Thanksgiving Football Special & Annual Marathon!

Thanks to Covid-19, the Oldest Public High School Football Rivalry in the Country won’t be played this Thanksgiving. However, The Needham Channel is filling the void with a brand new special, looking back on the last 20 or so years of the Needham-Wellesley Football Rivalry! TNC’s own Mike Levin hosts several of our announcers over the years, Mike Riley, Mike Fraini, Karl Schofield, Bill Dermody, as well as Wellesley’s Robbie Johnson. The crew will watch some of the most memorable plays in the rivalry’s “Modern Era,” as well as give their own insights into these great moments. The special will debut on Thanksgiving Day when the game would normally be kicking off, 10:00 am and you can watch it on our HD and Community Channels, as well as right here at needhamchannel.org!

In addition, we have a host of games we’ll be running for this year’s Thanksgiving Football Marathon. We’ll be running every game from the past decade, as well as two OT thrillers from 2007 and 1994, the full game of which returns for the first time in decades. The 25 Year Anniversary Special from that 94 game will also return in limited form, as will the special from a few years ago, looking back on games all the way back to 1986. We will have separate marathons running on both our HD and Education Channels, with the HD marathon streaming here on needhamchannel.org!
