• The Town of Needham is receiving push back from the business community around an effort to redesign a portion of Great Plain Avenue. Needham is seeking the next stage in evolution for its main roads. Partnered with a design firm selected last August, the initial proposed design reduces the number of lanes going through the center of town, and adds bicycle lanes to qualify for assistance with the funding of the project. However, the businesses that line the road see this work as a threat to their community, and are hoping to be heard.
