The Needham Select Board held a special joint meeting with other boards and committees to bring them up to speed on an issue that may impact the Town greatly over the next few months, and years. While preparing to renovate Claxton Field, it’s history as a burn dump has come back to haunt the efforts. With questions about possible contamination looming, the town is trying to provide alternative space and determine whether or not it is safe to use the field this spring.
