Needham has a few bridges that are dedicated to the memory of fallen soldiers. It is a great way of keeping their sacrifices alive in the minds of people passing by in the course of their daily lives. On July 11th, a new proclamation was celebrated, dedicating the overpass running by Hersey Station on Great Plain Avenue to Damon Borrelli, a young private who never came home after World War II. His family joined town and state officials in sharing his story.
