This week, The Needham Channel is debuting a TON of new programming, including the annual July 4th Parade, LIVE this Monday, July 5th at 9am. We’ll be broadcasting from the end of the parade, in front of the Needham Public Library, with our coverage hosted by TNC mainstays Mike Riley and Colleen Lavery. You can watch the broadcast on our Community and HD Channels, as well as our livestream here at needhamchannel.org beginning at 9am, then re-airing at 7pm in all three places and throughout the next month on all of our channels.
However, the return of the annual Needham tradition presented by the Town along with the Needham Exchange Club, is only one of the new shows we have debuting this week. Winning their first South Section title since 2018, the NHS Boys Volleyball team has at least one last game, Wednesday, June 30th in the A Gym, as the Rockets host North champ Westford Academy in the MIAA State semis. Be on the lookout for that broadcast, as well as a possible State Final, if Needham wins that semifinal game first.
In addition, we have a new episode of “Moving Forward Together with Equal Justice Needham, premiering at 7pm on our Community and HD Channels (and here on needhamchannel.org) right before a brand new edition of the Needham Channel News. We also have a preview of the 16 new NHS Student Documentaries that will be airing this summer, a new episode of the music program “502 Sessions,” and even some extra Municipal meetings, too! The live Public Information Officer Forum with Cyndi Roy Gonzalez can be seen on our Municipal and HD Channels (and here on needhamchannel.org) on Wednesday, June 30th at 6pm, with re-airs beginning Thursday, July 1st, as well as re-airs of Tuesday night’s Planning Board meeting starting Wednesday night as well. Returning to our airwaves as an added bonus during this Independence Day season is last year’s special we put together in place of the parade, “Classics of TNC Past: The 4th of July.” Check it out to look back on our many years of coverage here on The Needham Channel.
As a reminder, our HD Channel can be seen on Verizon Fios cable only, on Channel 2129, the Community Channel on Verizon Channel 29, RCN Channel 15 and Comcast Channel 9. The Municipal Channel can be seen on Verizon Channel 30, RCN Channel 13 and Comcast Channel 99.
