Asking for Answers

It is not a problem unique to the United States, but shifts in political attitudes and a general lack of order or consistency when it comes to policy have exacerbated the problems associated with the U.S. Immigration System. When President Joe Biden ran for office, he promised significant and specific reforms. Now that he has had several months under his belt, some have seen wavering in resolve, and others have seen figurative roadblocks placed in the way of fulfilling his promises. The Needham Area Immigration Justice Task Force asked another newcomer to federal office, Representative Jake Auchincloss, to join them for a conversation on the various issues related to immigration. He outlined his thoughts on where we are headed as a nation and what needs to be done in order to take the next steps.
