COVID-19 in Needham: Update to the Select Board

With this week’s revelation that high school is being taught remotely, there is a lot of concern about the spread of the COVID-19 virus in the town. While Needham has been in the Yellow category of the state monitoring system for weeks, clusters are still popping up. Last week, Timothy McDonald, the Director of Health and Human Services updated the Select Board on the progress Needham has made and the numbers we are all seeing.


Even eleven months into the pandemic’s known presence in the U.S., it is difficult to ascertain whether or not you have COVID-19 and are spreading it. With so much emphasis on recovery and loosening restrictions, it is important for everyone to do their part to prevent the spread of the virus. While it is hard to combat asymptomatic spread McDonald explains why it is important to stay home if you do not feel well.
