Talking about matters of race and society is tough to approach when two adults are involved. How much more complicated must it be when working with a class full of elementary school students? Suprisingly, with the right approach it can be a comfortable and enlightening experience. The Racial Literacy program that is being rolled out in the Needham Public Schools is designed to shed light on and combat racial bias.
