It’s March, and before we plow headlong into spring we want to take a look at the past month, and how we covered Needham over the last 29 days.
It was quite the month in terms of our coverage both on-air and on-line. By the numbers, we seemed to have a pretty typical month, our numbers of productions, the hours of programming, and hours of municipal meeting coverage all seemed on the surface to mirror past years. Thanks to great runs from our high-school teams (and the efforts of our own “sports team”) we had plenty of games to share. Use of our bulletin board service was great–especially by our friends at the Needham Public Library.
On the web, our social media showed lots of love for the girls hockey team, especially after the remarkable post-season game against St. Peters. But, we also shouldn’t forget the profiles of the Needham High School Dance Team, and Representative Garlick’s Report to the community, both of which were strongly represented on Instagram. On our own website, viewership was high for the last Select Board meeting of the month. Despite being up for a short amount of time, it dominated our streaming coverage, netting *almost* as many views as the rest of our top ten combined! We had fantastic numbers for many of our February meetings and our new Rockets Report episode, too. Nice job, all around!
